Continuing satellite practice
Established in 2012. Dr. Scheepers continues to see patients in Trail; Dr. Ling provides locum coverage.
A first consultation typically takes 60–90 minutes and includes a full ophthalmic examination — visual acuity, refraction, intraocular pressure, slit-lamp evaluation, and dilated retinal assessment. Most patients are dilated, which can affect vision for several hours afterward. Please arrange a drive home if you have not been dilated before.
Following your assessment, Dr. Scheepers will explain his findings in clear language and discuss the recommended plan with you. A consultation letter is sent to your referring provider after each visit.
If cataract surgery or another procedure is recommended, a separate surgical planning visit is arranged. For toric lens patients, this includes the first set of biometry measurements; the second independent measurement set is taken on a separate day, in keeping with the dual-measurement protocol used at this practice.
